Snippet: Twenty dogs of different brachiocephalic breeds with signs of upper airway obstruction were recruited. No difference was found before and after surgery in the total score obtained with the FETCHSV2-Q TM instrument: 30.1 AE 11.2 vs. 29.3 AE 6.7 (P > 0.05). In this sample, TAPSE values were reduced compared to the established reference ranges in dogs (population of this research: 0.9 AE 0.3 cm vs reference range: 1.5-2.0 cm). In addition, there was.....
Document: Twenty dogs of different brachiocephalic breeds with signs of upper airway obstruction were recruited. In addition, there was difference between TAPSE obtained 10 and 2 days before and 2-6 months after corrective surgery: 0.9 AE 0.3 vs. 1.4 AE 0.9 (P < 0.05). The maximum velocity of the S' wave of the tricuspid annulus before surgery was 8.4 AE 2.3 cm/s and after surgery was 9.25 AE 0.9 cm/s, being a statistically significant difference (P-value < 0.05). The values of the E 0 early wave velocity was similar and before the procedure was 7.75 AE 1.09 cm/s vs. 8.50 AE 0.89 cm/s afterward (P < 0.05). RVIMP was 0.19 AE 0.7 before surgery and similar after intervention 0.25 AE 0.2 (P-value > 0.05). The Pre-ejection time (PEP) was 81 AE 7.9 ms before surgery and markedly diminished post-recovery 64 AE 11 ms (P-value < 0.05).
