The studies showed that the older the patient, the more risk they face from the virus. While most of the verified cases involved people between the ages of 30 and 69, the fatality rate increased as the patients' ages went up. For patients with 80 years old and older, 14.8% of those died compared to 0.2% for patient with 49 years or younger. In addition, the study showed that patients who suffered from chronic diseases before contracting the virus were more likely to die. These studies highlighted the importance of predicting patient response to COVID 19 to provide the treatment and intensive care services only to responding patients The disease severity is proportional to lung findings. As the patient improves, there is gradually resolution of ground glass and consolidations.
