Previous studies have demonstrated unemployment as one of the strongest determinants of infection incidence in several countries across the world. Among the infections intertwined with unemployment were HIV, AIDS, and several respiratory problems (Grob et al., 2016; Hunter, 2007) . The studies showed how an increase in unemployment consequently increases infection rate.
