Document: Nurses' perception of patient safety management was assessed using the Perception of Importance on Patient Safety Management scale (PI-PSM), and permission to use it was obtained from the Korean original authors [22] . The 21 item questionnaire was categorized into four factors as "concern about patient safety management" (7 items), "confidence about patient safety management" (5 items), "will for patient safety management" (5 items), and "recognition about patient safety management" (4 items). Each item was rated on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 (1 = "strongly disagree", 2 = "disagree", 3 = "neither", 4 = "agree" and 5 = "strongly agree"). Higher scores indicated that recognition of the importance of patient safety management was high. The Cronbach's α coefficient was 0.86 when the scale was developed and 0.93 in this study.
