Document: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are an abundant class of evolutionarily conserved small non-coding RNAs that post-transcriptionally control gene expression by targeting mRNAs for degradation or translational repression, and have diverse functional roles in biological processes 6 . The endogenously expressed miRNAs have been identified as important contributors to many physiological and pathological processes including immune development and response 7 . It has been proven that miRNAs play an indispensable role in immune responses via regulating the development of monocytes/macrophages, DCs, NK cells, T cells and B cells, and also in regulating their responses to pathogens and stimulation with TLR ligands [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] . Although the contributions of few individual miRNAs to the development or function of HSCs and DCs have been reported, so far, the roles of miRNAs in the development and differentiation of DCs remain largely unknown.
