Snippet: Little is known about the effect of pregnancy signalment on heart rate variability values in the equine species. This study aimed at determining physiological ranges for heart rate (beats per minute) and heart rate variability in equine mares at different months during gestation (10 months). The ECG recordings were made once a month and the data were used for analysis. Heart rate (HR) and HRV were assessed by maternal electrocardiography (ECG). M.....
Document: Little is known about the effect of pregnancy signalment on heart rate variability values in the equine species. Maternal measurements were taken ten times pre-partum and heart rate variability was analyzed in the time-domain.
