Therefore, we derived gamma distributions for serial intervals from half a day to four days. The average incubation period for norovirus is considered to be between 24 hours to 48 hours [4, 18] . In our analysis the serial intervals of up to 2.5 days is likely to be a more appropriate time period than the analysis from Heinje et al.
