Document: Many virus databases have been constructed but on a limited subset. Examples include the influenza virus database, 4 the RNA virus database, 5 the LANL hemorrhagic fever virus database, 6 and the Hepatitis B virus database. 7 The GenBank provides a 2 Evolutionary Bioinformatics comprehensive database for viral genomes but with significantly high-missing ICTV labels, partly due to the different definitions of "species". For example, the missing rates of family and genus labels at GenBank are as high as 12% and 30%, respectively. 8 For virus research, it is crucial to take the whole virus database as an entirety to reveal the relationships for classification.
