Document: Viruses are not only notorious for their pathological nature and associated diseases, but also for their role as model systems for studying molecular events and identifying critical cellular machineries. Previous investigations have provided insights into the structure, function, and protein interactions of individual viral proteins. More significantly, these studies have partially elucidated the associated positive and negative gene regulation, chaperone activity, repressor-operator interactions, DNA replication, transcriptional elongation and termination, RNA splicing, immune signaling, and oncogenic transformation [1] . However, only a limited number of viral proteins have been extensively studied to date. A large body of information on viruses and virus-host interactions remains untapped. The analysis of such data will increase our understanding of fundamental biological processes.
