Laboratory test, culture test, and PCR assay were conducted within 24 hrs after admission. Blood, sputum, and urine culture were conducted for identification of the bacterial infection. Sputum PCR assay was conducted for identification of viral infection. Sputum PCR assays were performed using nasopharyngeal aspiration by a trained doctor. And sputum PCR assay can detect influenza virus, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza virus, coronavirus, rhinovirus, enterovirus, adenovirus, bocavirus, and metapneumovirus.
