Document: A number of selected cellular pathways have been shown to change in HRSV-infected cells in culture and in vivo. Proteomics has been applied in several instances to the study of the interaction between HRSV and the host cell nuclear proteome (26) . In this study, nuclear extracts from uninfected and infected cells were analyzed using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE) coupled to MALDI-TOF MS. 24 proteins whose abundance altered by Ϯ2-fold were identified and included heat shock proteins, oxidant-antioxidant enzymes, and proteins associated with nuclear domain 10 structures (ND10), which are also known as promyelocytic leukemia (PML) bodies (26) . More recently, 2DE was used to compare the potential effect of several different negative strand RNA viruses, including HRSV, parainfluenza virus, human metap-neumovirus, measles virus, and influenza virus, on the host cell proteome with common changes in proteins involved with apoptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress being highlighted (27) .
