The target HBV DNA is captured on the surface of the silicon substrate and forms a sandwich complex with specifically designed AuNPs modified with DNAindocyanine green proximally to the surface, leading to high SERS signals. This heat-responsive hybrid silicon substrate-based SERS platform can detect remarkably low HBV DNA concentrations of ~0.44 fM at 25 °C and ~0.14 fM at 37 °C [17] .
