Document: The data were publicly available by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other press releases in South Korea. Each infected patient was numbered in chronological order based on the infection confirmation date. In this study, we count the period of the infection starting from Day 1 which corresponds to May 20, 2015. Since there is no change in epidemic status after Day 200, we use the outbreak period from Day 1 (May 20, 2015) to Day 200 (December 5, 2015) for figures in this paper. Fig. 1 displays the cumulative number of patients and deaths.
