When the cost of treatment is high, the number of infections per stage increases (see Figure 1) . Conversely, the number of infections drops sharply after a limited period, indicating that the infection is effectively and quickly controlled (see Figure 2 ). This conclusion is also in concert with the reality. For example, although common cold is contagious, it can be quickly controlled because of the low cost of treatment.
