Document: The preliminary model described in Sec. 2.3 was refined to include age groups and immunological stages during infections. This allows to consider features like the immune response of individuals during infection, as well as social behavior, in particular interactions among individuals of the same or different age groups. Based on the statistical analysis of the RKI data 2.1 we distinguish three groups: children (0-14y), adults (15-59 y) and people 60y or older. The refined model also includes additional stages of infection to obtain a more realistic time course of individual infections.
