Control-transfected reporter-positive NIH-3T3 cells were generated independently using the CFP (pECFP-N1) vector alone, or by co-transfection using the vector alone expressing GPF (pEGFP-C1), with similar results. Cells with stable plasmid incorporation were selected for appropriate reporter expression in the presence of 1 mg/ml Geneticin (Life Technologies).
