Document: Data on categorical variables are presented as numbers and percentages, and data on continuous variables are presented as means ± standard deviations. Data on continuous variables were compared using a 2-sample t-test and the data were normally distributed. Data on categorical variables were compared by χ 2 or Fisher's exact test. The consistency of the isolation levels assigned based on the FRIDU screening and that associated with the final diagnosis was assessed using a correlation coefficient (kappa). Univariate and multivariate analyses with logistic regression were performed to evaluate factors associated with being diagnosed with a contagious disease by the FRIDU screening. Statistical analyses were performed using PASW software (ver. 22.0; SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA), and a 2-sided P value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
