Document: In conclusion, we investigated the effects of the anti-diabetic drug lobeglitazone on T2D patients with NAFLD, using transient liver elastography with CAP and gluco-metabolic profile analysis, and found that the method was effective not only in lowering glucose levels but also in reducing intrahepatic fat content. Furthermore, increased steatosis grade and metformin use in patients at baseline, as well as decreased ALT and LSM levels after treatment, were all reliable factors in predicting responsiveness to lobeglitazone. Together, our data indicate that lobeglitazone is a valid, novel therapeutic that should be used to treat NAFLD patients with T2D.
