Document: Stored, frozen canine serum samples were used. ELISA precision was prospectively evaluated by measuring three canine serum pools having low, medium, and high cortisol concentrations, respectively, in triplicate on five consecutive days. A prospective method comparison study was performed by measuring cortisol concentrations in sixty-three independent canine serum samples using the ELISA and two CA. Methods were compared using Pearson's Correlations, Passing-Bablok regressions and Bland-Altman analyses. Clinical implications of identified bias were investigated using an error grid.
