The RT schedule used in this study allowed optimal tumor and endocrine control. A gradual progression in the response was observed, starting with a volumetric response of the pituitary tumor, delayed of several months after the treatment, than a response of the adrenal glands and ultimately a reduction of the serum cortisol levels was achieved. This pattern of response must be taken in consideration during follow up evaluation to adjust the dose of trilostane and to establish evaluation criteria. Insulin glargine 300 U/ml (Toujeo Ã’ ) and insulin detemir (Levemir Ã’ ) are synthetic long-acting insulin analogs associated with minimal intra-and inter-patient variability or episodes of hypoglycemia in people. Toujeo Ã’ is more predictable and longer acting compared to glargine 100 U/ml (Lantus Ã’ ) in people. The purpose of this study was to assess the pharmacokinetics or pharmacodynamics of Toujeo Ã’ compared to Levemir Ã’ in healthy dogs.
