Document: In conclusion, the RIA described here is linear, accurate, precise, and reproducible for the measurement of soluble CD25 in canine serum. Further studies are warranted to evaluate the clinical utility of measuring serum sCD25 concentrations for evaluation of dogs with immune-mediated and inflammatory conditions. The intestinal microbiome is important for maintaining gastrointestinal health and alterations may contribute to gastrointestinal disease. It is currently unclear whether fecal microbial transplantation (FMT) may present an alternative approach to standard therapy for gastrointestinal disease. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the fecal microbiota before and after FMT in patients that presented for chronic diarrhea.
