Genes with an absolute fold change-value between groups > 2.5 and a multiple comparisons adjusted P-value < 0.05 were considered to be differentially expressed. Differentially expressed genes and transcripts potentially related to the pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis were selected and subcategorized using the genecards.org databases (GeneCards, PathCards, and GeneAnalytics).
