There were no difference between the indexed volumes obtained in mares and males (P > 0.05). As well as between the age groups (P = 0.07). However, there was difference between the volumes obtained with SMOD method and One-dimensional M-mode (P = 0.03). The volumes derived from M-mode had significant difference between left and right para-sternal views (P = 0.001).
