Plasma cytokines from all patients (IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, IFN-γ) were detected by ELISA method according to the manufacturer's instructions. Respiratory specimens of all patients, including sputum, pharyngeal swabs, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, or bronchial aspirates were tested for SARS-Cov-2, using real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assays [8] . Antiviral treatment were used in most patients. The majority of patients received treatment with corticosteroid and gamma globulin, the specific dose of which was determined by the chief physician according to the patient's condition. Antibiotics were empirically administered.
