Document: In conclusion mydriasis and ophthalmoplegia are common signs of CSS. A mass lesion is the most common cause. Survival time may improve with radiation therapy. Potassium bromide (KBr) is an antiepileptic drug that is widely used for seizure control in dogs. Diets with high contents of Clhave been shown to decrease serum Brconcentrations in dogs. However, the numerical relationship between dietary Clintake and serum Brconcentrations currently remains unknown. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to quantify serum Brconcentrations in dogs fed diets with different contents of Cland reveal the underlying relationship in order to contribute to the therapeutic drug monitoring of KBr.
