Symmetric dimethylarginine (SDMA) and neutrophil gelatinaseassociated lipocalin (NGAL) have been suggested as useful biomarkers for evaluating renal disease. The objective of this study was to assess the circulating SDMA and NGAL concentrations in dogs before and after correction of dehydration.
