After 48 hours of incubation, the media was removed and 20 μL MTT solution was added to each well, followed by incubation for 4 hours in the dark. Then, the supernatants were removed and 150 μL DMSO was added to each well and gently shaken for 15 minutes to completely dissolve the precipitate. A microplate reader was used to measure the absorbance of the dissolved precipitate at 490 nm. The inhibition rate (IR) was calculated according to the formula below:
