In this study, we report the construction of VLPs by cotransfecting two kinds of plasmids into HEK293 cells to obtain a mammalian cell line that efficiently and stably expresses the HIV-1 structural proteins Gag, pol, and Env. The VLPs induce specific humoral and cellular immune responses after immunization, without any adjuvant.
