Both of these approaches are similar to IT administration in that the virus comes into direct contact with tumor cells in the injected cavity, although there is a greater risk that input virus will be immediately neutralized by antibodies and other proteins in ascites or pleural fluid. Intravesical instillation of virus is the favored route of administration for treatment of early-stage bladder cancer, requiring only that future science group www.futuremedicine.com the input virus be stable in urine.
