The protein standards and working reagents were prepared, according to the manufacturer's instructions. In triplicate eppendorf tubes, 25 µl standard or lysate sample were added. The working reagent (500 µl) was added to each tube, incubated at 37˚C for 30 min and was subsequently measured at 562 nm in a Beckman spectrophotometer (Beckman Coulter, Inc., Fullerton, CA, USA). The concentration of the lysate samples were determined using the standard curve.
