Two patients had recurrent BSI, with VRE and Escherichia coli in one and Streptococcus spp in the other. One additional patient was treated for possible invasive aspergillosis in the setting of pneumonia 3 months before UCBT, and a computed tomography scan demonstrated full resolution of airspace opacities before transplant; she later developed probable invasive aspergillosis on day 18 after UCBT while on micafungin prophylaxis.
