New threat: 2019 novel Coronavirus infection and infection control perspective in Turkey

Cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology were first reported on December 31, 2019, in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. It is stated that there is a cluster in the employees of Wuhan South China Seafood City Market (a wholesale fish and livestock market selling different animal species) in the south of Wuhan. Findings compatible with fever, dyspnea and bilateral lung pneumonic infiltration were detected in most cases. Fatal cases were reported so far have generally been older individuals or individuals with concomitant systemic disease [6] [7] [8] . The first imported case is a 61-year-old Chinese woman reported from Thailand on January 13, 2020. On January 14, 2020, a male patient in his 30s was reported by the Ministry of Health of Japan as the second imported case. The two imported cases were reported from Thailand and Japan, who have a travel history to Wuhan province, with no history of visiting the seafood market where the first cluster was identified. The virus was defined by authorities as coronaviruses on January 7, 2020, and refined down the total number of the cases. As the number of cases has increased, Chinese authorities have quarantined the city of Wuhan and many other cities, suspended travel in and out in Hubei province [6] [7] [8] .
