Barrows et al [7] also screened an FDA-approved drug library and reported a series of FDA-approved drugs capable of inhibiting ZIKV in vitro. Eyer et al [8] identified some nucleoside inhibitors that can inhibit ZIKV replication in cell culture. However, more research needs to be conducted before the above-mentioned antivirals can be clinically applied.
