Document: The development in biosensor techniques of hepatitis E viruses is relatively rare compared to other hepatitis viruses. A microarray-based biosensor is designed to detect hepatitis E viruses using nanogold labeled oligonucleotide probes [112] . The NH2 end-modified oligonucleotide probes are immobilised on the chip surface to capture the cDNA amplified from the virus RNA. The SH end-modified oligonucleotide with nanogold colloid is used as detection probe. The detection time is shortened to two minutes with a limit of detection of 100 fM.
