The dogs were allocated in three groups according to the thoracic index (dorsoâ€ventral thorax diameter x 100/lateroâ€lateral thorax diameter): 90â€100 brachymorphic, 50â€60 dolichomorphic, and 60â€90 mesomorphic. For each ECG, three measurements were performed. Normality was tested using the Shapiroâ€Wilcoxon Wâ€test. To evaluate differences between morphotypes and leads, nonparametric analysis of variance was performed by Kruskas Wallys test, as data were not normally distributed. In the brachymorphic morphotype, RPT median duration and range were: V1: 10 ms (7â€16), V2: 17 ms (10â€19), V3: 18 ms (11â€24), V4: 19.5 ms (11â€24), V5: 21 ms (14â€24), V6: 21 ms (12â€25). In the mesomorphic morphotype, RPT median duration and range were: V1: 13 ms (9â€19), V2: 21 ms (12â€26), V3: 21.5 ms (18â€25), V4: 22 ms (17â€28), V5: 24 ms (18â€30), V6: 24.5 ms (17â€31). In the dolichomorphic morphotype, RPT median duration and range were: V1: 15.5 ms (7â€21), V2: 27 ms (19â€35), V3: 28 ms (20â€34), V4: 28 ms (20â€36), V5: 29 ms (24â€37), V6: 29.5 ms (25â€37). In all precordial leads, RPT was statistically different between morphotypes (P<0.00001). In lead V1, RPT was statistically shorter (P<0.00001) compared to V2 through V6 in all morphotypes.
