For the CKD model cats, tissues from both the ischemic kidney (IK group) and the contralateral, nonâ€ischemic kidney (NIK group) were evaluated. Illumina short read sequencing technology was used to produce transcriptome sequences from the renal tissues. Reads were mapped to the reference feline genome (Felis_catus_8.0). Differential expression analysis was conducted with edgeR at a false discovery rate (FDR) £0.05. Gene ontology analysis was performed using the Panther classification system and the Fisher's exact test with FDR multiple test correction.
