Image analysis was performed using Matlab R2013a software (Mathworks) applications developed in the authors' laboratory; statistical analysis was performed using 'R' critical care (R Foundation for Statistical Computing, Vienna, Austria, http:// www. R-project. org). An α value of 0.05 was used. All data are expressed as mean±SD.
