Omeprazole was administered to nine dogs, all of which experienced adverse events that included diarrhoea, vomiting, haematochezia, melena and anorexia. In seven of these individuals, omeprazole was administered before the adverse events were documented. No other concurrent medications, including glucocorticoids, were associated with development of adverse events.
