The proportion of amoxicillin‐resistant fecal E.coli increased significantly (p=0.031) from 0.0 on day 0 to 0.9 on day 6 only in the antibiotic group. On day 30 microbial resistance against E. coli was significantly higher (0.2 versus 0.0) in the antibiotic compared to the placebo group (p=0.001).
