The prevalence of hypoalbuminemia was not significantly different among classes. Results of the Cox proportional hazard model indicated that survival time was significantly positively associated with NYHA functional severity at diagnosis (P < 0.001), presence of cardiac cachexia, weight loss, anemia, hypoalbuminemia and azotemia (P < 0.001, P = 0.003, P = 0.0033, P = 0.003 and P = 0.019, respectively).
