Document: A total of 99 dogs were included in the analysis, after the exclusion of 10 dogs that died before the 1‐month postoperative review, 6 dogs with missing data, and 2 dogs that underwent secondary surgery. The overall survival rate 1 month after surgery was 91.5%. In multiple comparison analysis, the CKCSs were significantly younger, had higher body weight, preoperative VHS, postoperative normalized left ventricular end‐diastolic and end‐systolic diameters, and had lower postoperative FS compared amongst the groups. Although the pre‐ and postoperative number of cardiac medications in the CKCSs tended to be high, no significant difference was observed amongst the groups.
