The background noise level in the operating room was also as high as those measured in the previous studies [18] [19] [20] [21] [22] [23] [24] . Noise by surgical drills and suctions in the operating room, 57.4, 59.3, and 62.5 dBA, were much lower than the values in [24] reported 40 years ago. This difference can be due to improved surgical devices over recent decades.
