RV-A and RV-B were originally classified according to sensi-tivity to capsid-binding drugs, and RV-C was classified by sequence-based criteria. 29 RV circulates throughout the year but in many geographic areas appears to have distinct peaks of incidence in the fall and spring. 30 Infection rates remain substantial for the rest of the year.
