COVID-19 epidemic in Malaysia: Impact of lock-down on infection dynamics

In order for the statistical and machine learning algorithms to learn and predict the trend and growth of the disease, several online news and related websites (such as the Malaysia's official health ministry websites) was crawled and fed into a database. Covid-19 data on the number of susceptible, infectious, recovered, and deceased patients for world countries are available from Worldometer [23] and the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Visual Dashboard [24] . For Malaysia, daily data has been published by the STAR [25] , Malaysiakini [26] and also by the Ministry of Health Malaysia [8] [9] [10] .
