Document: The copyright holder for this preprint . tion of cases, quick treatment for those people and immediate isolation to prevent spread and to trace their contacts. Early testing also helps to identify anyone who came into contact with infected people so they too can be quickly treated. China, South Korea, Taiwan have followed this procedure to use it as one of our most important tools in the fight to slow and reduce the spread and impact of the virus. As expected, very strong positive correlation is found between the number of tests conducted in last 24 hours and the reported infections in Bangladesh (see Figure 4 (a)). The correlation coefficient is 0.96 based on the data reported as on April 14, 2020. As on April 14, Bangladesh has tested only 13,128 case samples which is in a rate 80 per milion and which is much lower than many countries (Max Roser & Ortiz-Ospina, 2020).
