Document: Based on the premise that the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic could be mitigated if ethical aspects previously raised had been incorporated in the individual, collective and programmatic spheres, it was questioned how the academy has positioned itself ethically in relation to global health, pandemics and Covid-19. The objective was to characterize the scientific production regarding the theme, in addition to discussing the results from a bioethics perspective as a beacon of communication between personal and collective dimensions, from a global perspective, but with a regional identity. To this end, an integrative review was carried out in June 2020, with the axes used to categorize ethics, pandemic, global health, prevention, protection, prudence and precaution. The data of the present study, in the section provided by the analysis of 159 articles, allowed to characterize the ethical perspective of pandemics in the scientific environment. The low adherence in the discussion and reflection on the ethical foundations that guide decisions before, during and after pandemics illustrate the existence of gaps that can potentiate risks at all levels. The perspective of bioethics seeks perseverance, which adds to the 4 p's principle of intervention bioethics, a new horizon that must be better managed if it has imputed ethical values at a regional and community level, based on the collective interest and having the good-common, nature and future generations as values.
