Document: To mount the strategy against SARS-CoV-2 and anticipate its trajectory, it is necessary, in addition to correctly modeling its epidemiological characteristics, to take into account as closely as possible the influence of the fluidity of social contacts that it uses to spread. Here we have shown that it is possible to construct the expression of the effective reproduction number R(t) capturing both the epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 and those social patterns that facilitate its expansion. This expression enables an accurate evaluation of the spreading potential of SARS-CoV-2 on a given population and, moreover, the assessment of non-pharmacological interventions.
