Document: Monitoring the state of technological equipment corresponds to the iiot concept. Consider the use of “Industrial Internet of Things” (IIoT) for monitoring the state of laboratory and experimental equipment in the South Ural State University educational process at the Department of Information Communication Technology. This is necessary for two reasons: training students in IIoT technology;remote performance of experimental research and laboratory work. The educational process takes place in accordance with the restrictions due to COVID-19. Monitoring the state of technological equipment is the process of obtaining measurement results on an experimental installation or laboratory bench. Monitoring data is transmitted using the innovative “Narrow Band Internet of Things” (NB-IoT) technology. The NB-IoT standard provides two-way communication operating in a frequency channel 200 kHz wide. This is sufficient for transmitting measurement information. The NB-IoT network is deployed in the existing GSM cellular network. Advantages of using IIoT in experimental and laboratory research: effective research is not possible with separate sensor operation. IIoT allows you to collect all the experimental information and optimize the study. In NB-IoT, small amounts of data are transmitted without using the IP Protocol (non-IP). Transmitting “non-IP” traffic (Non-IP Data Delivery, NIDD). NB-IoT modules are compact, energy efficient, self-contained and have a low cost. There is a large selection of NB-IoT devices for data collection and transmission. NB-IoT technology is promising in distance education in radio electronics and information communication technology. © 2021 IEEE.
