Among this pair Germany has far more registered deaths (3,022 deaths registered in Germany and 214 in South Korea, as of April 12, 2020) 2 What is more, Germany is currently in the growth phase of the epidemic with nearly 4000 new cases recorded daily, whereas South Korea has managed to supress the epidemics, from over 500 daily cases in late February and early March to the level of less than 30 cases in April 10 2 .
