Perception of E-learning among undergraduate medical and dental students during COVID-19 pandemic – A cross-sectional study

Aim and Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the perception and to determine differences in perception of E-learning during the COVID-19 outbreak among medical and dental students. [1] E learning also knows as online learning or tele-teaching or internet learning offers several benefits like it is self-paced, can be tailor made for the benefit of the students, cost effective, location independence, environmental friendly, access to large amount of information, and likewise has various disadvantages such as problems related to internet issues, more theoretical aspects is thought while practical teaching is difficult, needs good time management skills, leads to overdependence on gadgets, cyber security, authenticity of a students work done online, and less interaction between the students and the facilitators. [...]all educational institutions suspended their classes and following which internet came to rescue and educators had to switch to E-learning to conduct classes. [...]the objectives of this study are to understand the perception of E-learning among medical and dental students following COVID-19 pandemic and to assess differences in perception among students which will give an insight for all educational institutions to be well prepared with a combat plans in the future.
